Dan Perry

Dan Perry is managing partner of the award-winning NY-based communications consultancy Thunder11, which specializes in technology, healthcare and public affairs. He is also the chief business development and strategy officer of the ad tech firm Engageya and advises various startups.

Dan served as the Middle East chief of the Associated Press news agency, based in Cairo, during the Arab Spring and subsequent upheavals, and previously led AP in Europe, Africa and the Caribbean. During the Second Intifada Dan was AP’s bureau chief in Jerusalem and also served as the chairman of the Foreign Press Association. He has been a regular delegate at the World Economic Forum in Davos and other leadership conferences.

Dan studied engineering at the University of Pennsylvania and holds a master’s degree in computer science from Columbia University. In the 1980s, he was among the first to develop and market multilingual word processors for personal computers.
