International pop sensation PSY has taken to his Twitter page to warn fans in Israel that he would not be performing in the country – at least not for now. The South Korean singer was said to have signed up to play concerts in Tel Aviv and Eilat in exchange for $250,000.
Despite the official denial, until Sunday morning various ticket offices were still selling tickets online for two evenings starring PSY, on July 25 at Tel Aviv’s Exhibition Grounds and two days later at the Camel Ranch in Eilat.

“There are false rumors of my appearance in Israel in July,” PSY tweeted. “I will not be there but look forward to seeing all my fans in Israel soon. Shalom,” before joking, “What is shalom... my manager told me about it. Should I believe him?”

The South Korean singer, famous for his song "Gangam Style" made waves with over a billion and a half views on YouTube, making it the most watched clip of all time. PSY was subsequently recognized by the media as the 'King of YouTube.'
The song's refrain "Oppan Gangnam Style" was entered into The Yale Book of Quotations as one of the most famous quotes of 2012.
The pop star recently released a new song "Gentleman", which has been seen over 400 million times.
