American immigrants enlist in IDF more than any other country
They will join the thousands of new recruits that are expected to enroll.

There are more immigrants who chose to enlist in the IDF from the United States than any other country, according to Channel 2. Some 359 immigrants from the US are slated to enlist, as the IDF's annual draft comes to an end on December 4th. They will join the thousands of new Israeli recruits expected to enlist. Among those soldiers coming from other countries, there will be 308 from Ukraine. There will also be one soldier from Vietnam, Panama and Ecuador respectively.Most of the new recruits will be male (65%) with the average age being 18.According to the Lone Soldier Center, a non-profit that helps immigrant soldiers during their service in the IDF, there are around 7,000 soldiers who are either immigrants, volunteers, or have no family while serving in the Israeli military.
