Former Nazi guard living in US, Josias Kumpf, deported to Austria

A former Nazi concentration camp guard who was living in the US has been deported to Austria, US Justice Department officials said Thursday.
Authorities said Josias Kumpf, 83, served as a guard at the Sachsenhausen concentration camp in Germany and the Trawniki labor camp in Poland, and at slave labor sites in occupied France.
US officials saed he participated in a mass shooting in Poland in which 8,000 Jewish men, women and children were murdered in a single day.
Investigators found Kumpf, who was born in Serbia, joined the SS Death's Head guard forces in 1942.
An immigration judge had ordered Kumpf's removal.
