Lebanon to ban 'Wonder Woman' film over nationality of actress Gal Gadot
Lebanon has reportedly decided to ban the film over the nationality of its leading lady, Israeli actress and model Gal Gadot.

The hit film "Wonder Woman," starring Israeli actress and model Gal Gadot, was released this week to rave reviews around the world.However, DC Comics' much-awaited film about the Amazon warrior is not going to grace the silver screens of one Middle Eastern country- Lebanon.Israel's northern neighbor allegedly announced on Monday that the film will be banned from view in Lebanese cinemas solely due to the nationality of Wonder Woman's leading lady, Gadot.Lebanon's National News Agency reported that Lebanon's Ministry of Economy and Trade announced "the adoption of necessary measures to ban the screening... due to the starring of the Israeli actress Gal Gadot in said movie."Gadot is very forthcoming about her Jewish background and upbringing in Israel, and has more than once been asked in interviews to speak about her life in the Jewish state, her experiences of serving in the IDF and raising her two children in the country.
