Jewish comedian Chelsea Handler blames Kardashians for Trump election
The outspoken funny woman charged that the hyperbolic media coverage that Trump received during the election campaign helped him win the White House race.

Not one to shy away from bold assertions, particularly when it comes to Donald Trump, Jewish American comedian Chelsea Handler has pointed to reality TV culture as leading to his election.Handler's most recent comments about Trump - a billionaire real-estate mogul turned reality TV star turned US president-elect - were published in Variety magazine on Tuesday, three days before the presidential inauguration.The outspoken funny woman charged that the hyperbolic media coverage that Trump received during the election campaign helped him win the White House race.The queen of late-night comedy added that Democratic contender Hillary Clinton had been "100 percent" treated unfairly by the media."They were treating him as an entertainer first," she said of Trump. "It was a reality show. We’ve turned into a reality show. I blame the Kardashians, personally; the beginning of the end was the Kardashians. The way these people have blown up and don’t go away — it’s surreal. It’s the worst," HAndler told Variety in her signature aggressive humor style.Known for her brazed antics and various satire shows, Handler responded with a blatant "no" when asked by Variety whether she could ever want to interview Trump.Handler was one of a handful of celebrities who said they would emigrate from the US in the wake of Trump's election."It’s easy to throw in the towel and say that we’re gonna leave, or I’m gonna move to Spain. Because I want to move to Spain, I really, really want to move to Spain right now," she said during her Netflix talk show in November. "And everyone in my office is like ‘you have a responsibility.
