At the edge of Tiberias, where land meets the Sea of Galilee, sits the Rimonim Hotel. An unassuming red-and-white building, its location away from the main area of the city makes it the perfect getaway for a quiet weekend. The morning breeze from the Kinneret is best enjoyed on the hotel’s grand terrace, which offers guests a panorama view of the water and surrounding mountains, with birds chirping in the background and palm trees swaying in the wind.
Every detail of the hotel has been meticulously curated to provide this calming atmosphere. The hotel – which is part of a chain that operates in cities across the country – recently rebranded itself. Now, Ruth Rimonim Galei Kinneret is not simply a hotel, but the center of the chain’s new wellness program.
The new wellness concept – which comes with its own slogan, “Rimonim is my wellness” – isn’t in name only. Some 2.5 million shekels have been invested for the chain’s hotels to develop all-encompassing programs. Rooms have been renovated and spaces redecorated. At the chain’s various locations, guests can take partake in spa treatments, Pilates and tai chi classes, sleep meditation programs and more. The wellness program, which is all-inclusive, allows guests to make the most of their stay by offering on-site additions, as well as free tours of the surrounding areas.
Maya Shalev, the marketing director of the hotel, noted that the hotel’s concept of wellness doesn’t conform to the typical definition of the word.

“Wellness isn’t just sitting or doing yoga,” she noted. “It’s something you do every day – even if you live in Tel Aviv!”
That’s why the hotel has conceptualized different “wellness” options at all of its locations. Each Rimonim hotel has a different wellness brand and each location is unique in its offerings. The type of wellness that each location specializes in correlates to its surroundings.
In Jerusalem, enjoy “peaceful wellness” as you take in the city’s ancient wonders and cultural and religious landmarks. For “international wellness,” journey to Nazareth, where the hotel caters to a diverse clientele of tourists. Looking for adventure? Head to Acre. A family trip? Eilat’s the place. Even weary professionals can find reprise at the “business wellness” center in Ramat Gan, just outside Tel Aviv. The cabin-style hotel in Neve Nativ offers rustic lodging and nature adventures.
At the hotel’s “spiritual wellness” center in Safed, guests can immerse themselves in the serenity of the ancient city. The hotel offers 12 “concept weekends” there each year, in which guests can focus on Kabbala or culinary arts, among the many options. Located at the top of the city, venture out onto one of the terraces for a breathtaking view and a glass of hot wine to offset the crisp winter air.
Looking for some traditional tranquility? Rimonim Galei Kinneret is the place. Start your morning by heading to the spa wing for a deep-tissue massage and then venture to the relaxation room, where a calm oasis awaits. Choose between a dry or wet sauna – or both – and then take a dip in the Jacuzzi. After a complete detox, the hotel’s terrace is the place to be. Dozens of palm trees dot the grassy space and two massive ficus trees offer shade on sunny days. Watching the soft waves roll across the water, it’s no wonder Rimonim chose this location as their wellness mainstay.
Take your brunch outside and watch the clouds rise above snowy Mount Hermon in the distance. The hotel’s kosher kitchen offers a variety of healthful meals from morning to night. Spreads of salads and fresh fruits mean there are plenty of options for vegans and the succulent meats and fishes are inviting for the omnivores.
It’s an all-around wellness experience, and one not to be missed.
Prices vary based on the location of the hotel.
