After being snubbed by the Golden Globe nominations on Tuesday, Wonder Woman finally got a little bit of awards ceremony love on Wednesday - from the Screen Actors Guild.
The SAG Awards nominations included a nod for the superhero film led by Israeli actress Gal Gadot - for "Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture." Wonder Woman will be competing in the category against Baby Driver, Dunkirk, Logan and War for the Planet of the Apes. Gadot herself didn't receive a nod in the best actress category.
Otherwise there were few surprises in the nominations announced Wednesday, with many nods echoing the Golden Globes one day earlier.
On the film side, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, got the most nominations, with four nominations, and Lady Bird received three. When it comes to TV, Big Little Lies, Stranger Things and GLOW received four nods apiece.
Just like with the Golden Globes, both Robert DeNiro and Geoffrey Rush were nominated for portraying Bernie Madoff and Albert Einstein, respectively.
The awards show will be held on January 2 in Los Angeles.
