Health Ministry: Beware of 'Honey Sex'

While everyone has heard of "the birds and the bees," the Health Ministry does not recognize honey sold in pharmacies and natural food stores called "Honey Sex" and claimed to improve sexual pleasure.

The ministry’s Pharmaceutical Crime Unit caught the illicit, unapproved honey red handed and sent it to its Jerusalem lab. Contrary to the label claiming that it contains "natural ingredients only," it was found to include sildenafil, which is the active ingredient in Viagra, the prescription-only drug for erectile dysfunction. Taking the drug without a doctor's prescription can cause complications in men with cardiac and other problems.

The ministry warned the public not to use the product, as it is "dangerous and is liable to cause harm to the public health."
