Histadrut calls for additional day of strikes

The Histadrut, Israel's largest workers union, has called for a second day of strikes, with particular focus on workers at the Teva headquarters in Petah Tikva, its medical plant in Ashdod, a factory in Netanya and plants in Jerusalem.
The organization has also called on workers to strike between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., and will hold various meetings around the country.
In recent months, Teva has continuously cut its staff and has announced plans for thousands of layoffs, sparking the union to organize the recent strikes.
