Israeli police and military forces were securing Saturday morning the remains of an Israeli F-16 fighter jet which was hit by Syrian anti-aircraft fire during a mission over Syrian territory.
The pilots were forced to eject their aircraft, which crashed into a hillside near the northern village of Harduf.
Both pilots were evacuated to Rambam Hospital in Haifa, one in serious, but stable condition, and the other suffering mild injuries.
