Palestinians and Arab nations made their anger and dismay known on Friday after US President Donald Trump recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Across the West Bank Palestinians clashed with IDF troops in dozens of hotspots across the West Bank.
Trump's Wednesday decision was denounced by Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, who said that the United States had effectively given up its role as arbiter in the peace process in the region.
Hamas politburo chief Ismail Haniyeh called for a new intifada following the decision, and Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah announced his support for a violent uprising.
The Jerusalem Post was covering the events live on Friday as they play out in Jerusalem.
