Ivanka Trump defends father against sexual harassment claims

“I think it’s a pretty inappropriate question to ask a daughter if she believes the accusers of her father when he’s affirmatively stated there’s no truth to it.”

Ivanka Trump addressed several controversial issues concerning President Trump's conduct in an NBC News interview in South Korea on Sunday.
Asked about the sexual misconduct accusations against her father, the first daughter said that she thinks "it's a pretty inappropriate question to ask a daughter [...] I believe my father, I know my father. I believe I have that right, as a daughter, to believe my father."

During his presidential campaign, the US president was accused of making unwanted sexual advances against more than a dozen women who called on the US Congress to investigate the president's behavior. Trump vehemently denied the allegations and argued that he did not know the women who accused him.
The first daughter also addressed her father's proposals following the Florida school shooting. Stopping short of endorsing the president's controversial suggestion that some teachers should carry guns, Ivanka commented that she wasn't sure whether arming teachers would reduce gun violence in schools.
"Obviously, there would have to be an incredibly high standard for who would be able to bear arms in our school. But I think there is no one solution for creating safety," she asserted.

Standing by her father, Ivanka Trump also commented on the persistent accusations of Russian meddling in American politics.
"Consistently we've said there was no collusion, there was no collusion and we believe that Mueller will do his work," she said, asserting that she trusted her father to be clear.

Only days before, Trump called the investigation "an illegal disgrace" on his official Twitter account.

"Russians had no compromising information on Donald Trump” @FoxNews  Of course not, because there is none, and never was. This whole Witch Hunt is an illegal disgrace...and Obama did nothing about Russia!
